Measurement in non standard units.
Class 1have been learning about measurement this week. We estimated how many cubes, paper clips and matchsticks it might take to measure the different sunflowers. The children then filled in the table and checked to see if their estimations were correct! Super learning Class 1!
Number recognition, counting and beginning to add!
There are always maths related activities out in Class 1 for the children to access independently. Here are a few of the maths tasks this week, some of the Reception children were interested in having a go at some basic addition. Others worked on their counting skills and number recognition. Well done everyone!
Ordering numbers.
We have been investigating number and ordering our very own Numberblocks! The children talked about the numbers and how the correct order should look. We noticed that the Numberblocks go up in steps of one when they are in the correct order. Mrs Brown tried to trick the children by putting some of the numbers in the wrong place, but they soon corrected them. Super work everyone.
