Academic Year 2024-2025

Academic Year 2023-24

End of Year Festival of Fun!

Just some of the photos from our final day together as a class celebrating a wonderful year. Some of us enjoyed being on the camera more than others. Enjoy the summer Class 5!

Year 6 Pizza Lunch!

Some have been waiting all year. Some have been waiting since joining Cheddon. Year 6 Pizza Lunch tradition continues. I think they enjoyed themselves.

Richard Huish Law Day

After an immensely successful experience last year, our class were welcomed back to Richard Huish’s Law department to participate in an enriching careers experience day. Our children got to learn some laws in our country which we weren’t aware of before and the. We found ourselves in the middle of a criminal incident - theft. Mrs Hudson’s car was broken into and her dog lamp was stolen. We learnt how to be Crime Scene Investigators to collect the evidence left behind to conclude our suspect was Mrs Goodchild. A police car was sent for her arrest. On Mrs Goodchild’s arrival was conducted a trail where the prosecution and defence could place their case to the jury. A great day and enjoyed by all!

We love the Year 6 Leavers Hoodies!

Class 5 year 6 leaver's tradition continues...

Year 6 Pizza Lunch! (18.07.23)

Today our dear year 6s finally got their long awaited pizza lunch. Safe to say all had plenty to eat and there wasn't much pizza left. Thank you to the FCSA for funding this very exciting tradition this year.

Law Day at Richard Huish College (17.07.23)

We were very lucky to be invited to Richard Huish for the day by their Law department. Our children had a wonderful day exploring what is the law and with it some strange laws that still stand today. We then we allowed to investigate a crime scene as CSI officers to collect vital evidence to solve who had broken into the college and stole a set of brass scales. Our evidence led us to our suspect - Mr Godfrey. We later held a mock trail where the defence team put an impressive defence together which convinced the jury that Mr Godfrey was in fact not guilty. We also has a special guest as our Judge in court. Please take a look at some photos from the day.

Leavers Hoodies and Polo shirts! (26.05.23)

Our wonderful year 6s very much love their new leavers hoodies and polo shirts. They are looking forward to wearing these as their uniform for the remaining 7 weeks of their time at Cheddon. We will encourage jumpers to be taken off during the day to ensure no one over heats. Those who were absent today, your tops are safety stored in class and are waiting for you after the half term break.

Post SATs Fun! (12.05.23)

Our incredible year 6 children have persevered and shown great resilience to show their best during their KS2 SATs tests this week. Not one of them gave up and gave 100% right to the very end. Therefore, there was need for some sweet treats and an afternoon in the sun at the park to let off the steam. Photographs taken by some budding photographers - Carter, Tianna and Freya.

Christmas Fun in Class 5!

Our last day in school before Christmas, we have been enjoying crackers at lunch and our party. We played musical statues, under-over and pass the parcel. There was even a conga line at one point. Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Lunch 2022!

We enjoyed our Christmas dinner at school, plenty of sprouts and pigs in blankets as well as lots of Christmas songs.

Odd Socks Day 2022!

Enjoy a video of us all having a good time listening to the official Odd Socks Day 2022 song by Andy and the Odd Socks 'Calling Out.' We have had plenty of discussions about what makes us different and how we are yet together in the fact that we are all different in many ways.
