The Stay and Play Club provides high quality, affordable childcare for primary school children attending Cheddon Fitzpaine Church School.

The Club is open five days a week (Monday to Friday) during term-time only.

The times of the sessions are:

Breakfast session:                  08.00 – 08.45

After-school sessions               15.15 – 18.00

We offer a wide range of fun, stimulating and relaxing activities including:

We believe that play should be challenging, stimulating and provide opportunities for personal and social development but above all we want the children to have fun. We therefore provide a variety of structured and unstructured play opportunities and encourage the children to choose for themselves what they want do.

We aim to provide a balance between activities the children want to engage with and giving them time to relax. We achieve this by making the best possible use of the space we have and by providing appropriate supervision by staff.

All new children to the school will be provided with a free voucher to attend the Stay and Play Club between 3.15 – 4.30pm on a day of their choice (subject to availability).

We feel it is important for children to get a feel for how the Club operates and to understand that whilst it is located on the school’s premises it has a very different feel to the normal run of the school day. Joining us for a free taster session is a great way for children to experience the Club and for families to make an informed decision about whether this is the right choice for them.

Within the wider school we have a healthy eating policy which we continue to support in the Stay and Play Club. We have a fully equipped kitchen and our staff hold appropriate food hygiene certificates. All meals are freshly prepared each day.
